Intersectionality

My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive, antiracist and gender-affirmative principles, and this is an ongoing part of my learning and life experience.

I recognise the ways in which systemic oppression can impact mental health in a range of different areas of identity.

I hope to create a therapeutic relationship rooted in respect and cultural humility, and hope that all clients can feel comfortable and trusting in what can be a vulnerable space.

I am a graduate of Nova Reid’s intensive Becoming Anti Racist training course, and I have worked closely with d/Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I hope to offer allyship in all of these areas, and to create a safe, inclusive space in which we can navigate any differences that may arise in or impact our relationship, and a space in which all elements of our intersectional identities are welcome.

When I get things wrong, I am grateful for feedback, and welcome the opportunity to learn from it.

If you would like to find a therapist from a specific cultural background or identity group, please see the Resources page for some signposts which may help.
